Today, I managed to trip over a shelving cart and wallop the hell out of my right leg, right above the ankle, exactly where the top of my boot hits. I am going to have the mother of all bruises.

It's okay now, but it hurt amazingly when it happened and I have decided that I think one of the worst things about being (at least nominally) an adult-ish person is that it isn't considered acceptable to sit down and have a satisfying cry when you injure yourself.

I will console myself by continuing my Farscape rewatch tonight. I have made it to season two!

Bollocks to that (the bit about not being able to cry)! Also, the exclamation of a Frell upon such a situation would not be thought upon poorly.

Frell gets used a lot while in the library, yes. Thank the gods for fake sci-fi curse words. 8)

Frak is the preferred word of choice around our system. More BSG fans, I guess. But then again, I've got a fistful of sci-fi style curse words that can be uttered at a moment's notice.

I also happen to like "Empty Night!" from the Dresden Files books. Dresden himself usually uses "Hells Bells" or "Stars and Stones", but I like the vamp one better. ::laughter:: (Also, saying "hells bells" sort of defeats the not swearing by saying "hell" bit...)
You've totally hooked me on "Frell" as well, which is hilarious as I still haven't watched the show...

And, okay, I've said this before but I'm rewatching now and it's so good and you really should watch Farscape. You would like John and Aeryn and Pilot and Chiana and, all right, it's probable that you wouldn't like Scorpius as much as I do, but that's okay. He is the villain. But you would enjoy the muppets and the wackiness and the beautiful color palette and the epic love. And, hell, it's only four seasons and a two-episode miniseries. That's like, a summer's worth of tv. All streaming on Netflix now, I may add, if that's an option for you.
