Apr. 27th, 2010 12:59 pmToday, I was doing the weekly cash register report for the Kingston library, which requires counting out the till. In the quarter slot, I found a Finnish markka.
I swapped it out for a quarter so that our count would be correct and so that I could keep it. Because who doesn't like coinage from other countries that they don't even use anymore? And anyway, the form we fill out for the report has a space for Canadian coinage but nothing for any other currency.
The real question is, who had that in their pocket and decided to pay us with it?
