There is a tiny child in the library who keeps asking me questions and calling me, "Sir."

I mean, it's not like I'm offended or anything, but, y'know, I'm not terribly masculine-looking, I have hair down to my butt, and I'm wearing a floor-length skirt.

So that's odd.



ETA - And then tiny child's mother hands me her keys so that I can scan the card attached to her keychain and part of the keychain is cloth and wet and not the cold kind of wet that means it got rained on but the warm and sticky kind of wet that means that a tiny child (she had several) has been sucking on it and oh, ick, I need to go wash my hands.

How tiny? My daughter will alternately insist that she's a boy and I'm a girl, I'm a boy and she's a girl, or that I'm a sheep and shes a dragon. She's two and a half, mind ;).

Yeah, "tiny" was perhaps a poor word choice in this instance. He looked to be about four or five, possibly a little older.
