I installed blackout curtains in my bedroom late last May, so this is the first year that I have started May with them. It is amazing how much difference it makes for me. I have not yet fallen into despair this month, which has usually happened by this time! I am currently in the throws of an Enthusiasm, which is usually impossible in May!

I mean, who knows how the rest of the month will go, but being able to have a dark space whenever I need it was a huge help last summer and has already greatly improved my general mental health this year. Amazing.
