- I have finished all my Christmas shopping, by yesterday going to the Marina Market and buying everyone candy. The Marina Market is a wee shop in downtown Poulsbo that sells a) some basic groceries for people who live on their boats in Liberty Bay and b) Scandinavian foods and snacks. They have a licorice wall, and will sell you lutefisk tv dinners, if that's your thing. I like to buy everyone unfamiliar candy in packaging we can't read for Christmas, plus a wee marzipan pig.
- Also, they sell tubes of salmon paste that I have long been intrigued by, so I bought one. I might hate it! But it will be an interesting experience. And maybe it will be delicious.
- Because I am now completely done with shopping, I feel like this is the last weekend before Christmas/Yule that's Busy. After this, I don't have to go anywhere or do anything except normal things this week, and then I'm on vacation. It's very nice.
- Today is Bread Baking day, and I have decided not to make my normal milk bread this week. Instead, I am making a bread that get shaped and not baked in a loaf pan. I think one of my goals for 2022 is to figure out at least two other breads I like as much as the milk bread and get them exactly right so I can rotate them for Bread Variety.
