Today is the first day that vaccinated people are allowed into the library without masks and also the first day that staff aren't required to wear them. So I'm not today.

I think I kinda hate it? I'm pretty sure that's mostly a reaction to change - all change is bad and hard and scary, of course - that's been compounded by a few other things that happened this morning that are giving me bad anxiety. But also it feels weird to be around other people and not be wearing a mask and I don't like it.

I'm sure I'll adjust. I'm just tired of adjusting, you know?

Also, apparently, I developed a terrible habit of reacting to people saying stupid things by mouthing words silently under my mask and now the mask is gone. Yet another thing I have to adjust.

Where I work at the uni several colleagues have already stated their intention to keep wearing masks although they're vaccinated because they've also noticed less problems with their allergies.
