darchildreYesterday, as I was driving to work, I passed a roadside sign. (Y'know, the kind political campaigns and people with the fancier sort of garage sale put up.) It was bright yellow, with big black letters that said, "MR COVID IS COMING FOR YOU. GET SCARED, STAY SCARED."
Which was...unsettling.
I looked for it in the same spot this morning, but it was gone. In its place is a new green sign, advertising some sort of local fitness organization.
Somehow, the swift replacement of the sign makes it more ominous than if it had just become a regular-if-creepy part of my daily commute.
