darchildreOne of my birthday presents this year was a waterproof speaker that I can bluetooth to my phone to play podcasts in the shower. I just tried it out.
You guys. This is a quality of life game changer. I often struggle with certain hygiene tasks because hygiene tasks are boring and showering is the most boring because it's harder to add my normal distractions (reading, audio fiction) because of water. But now I can! And I checked with mom (whose craft room is right next to my bathroom) and she couldn't hear it at all while at a normal listening volume, so any of my anxieties about being overheard are also soothed. Triumph, Galatea!
(The speaker also has a light up option? So I guess if I ever want to listen to The Magnus Archives in the shower in the dark with spooky green moodlighting, that is a thing I can do now.)
