Good on you for sticking to your position and not apologizing when someone did a sexism and then proceeded to have drama about it. Figuring out the difference between "you did a thing" and "you are a thing" is pretty difficult for people who aren't ready to examine themselves or for people who don't want to believe they are capable of it.
