While I do appreciate that the people who spent about four hours last night setting off fireworks are now spending the morning cleaning up the detritus of their explosions, I would really prefer that this clean up did not involve spending hours using a leaf blower.

There are a lot of things that I dislike about summer but the fact that it is basically never quiet while the sun is up (and the sun is always up) is pretty high on the list.
