Yeah, I was super lucky to find a group that was open to newbies (which I was at the time) and didn't have a huge number of applicants when I applied. Occasionally I think about looking for a second group (mostly because I love D&D but I'd like to try some other games - I want to play Starfinder so bad!) but it seems like so much work.
