- I went on a trip! It was great. Sweeney Todd was amazing, I went to two cool museums (the Met Cloisters in New York and the Mutter Museum in Philadelphia), ate some great food, and had a really fun time.
- In which my sister and I are big dorks: Sweeney Todd is also coming to Seattle later this year and of course we are both going to see it there as well. We are both excited to actually see the show, but I think we are most excited for our after-show discussion, which will be an extensive compare and contrast. (Our musical theater tradition in Seattle is: see a matinee, go get gelato, sit in the gelato place for at least an hour exhaustively discussing the show we've just seen. We're the coolest people.)
- I tried to convince her that we should watch all the filmed stage version in the meantime to freshly add them to our discussion, but alas, there's not a good opportunity for us to do that together.
- I'm currently exhausted - between travel stuff, jetlag, and various other factors, I haven't had a normal night's sleep since last Wednesday. Well, back to work today! Hopefully, today will be a light library day.
