Someone has been playing the piano for over an hour. It's mostly been Christmas music, but also occasional Disney songs and once As Time Goes By. Their level of skill is, perhaps, on par with mine when I was taking lessons - so, a perfectly decent amateur, but with myriad small mistakes, pauses before difficult bits or transitions, everything is mezzo-forte all the time. Good enough to play for your own enjoyment but maybe not for the consumption of those who aren't your friends or family.
And, on the one hand, good for them for wanting to play in public, I guess? But on the other hand, it is extremely audible in the whole of the library and has been going on for over an hour.
