Sep. 8th, 2020 02:32 pmI have worked at the library for 15 years now and my least favorite library question is still variations on "Do you have the first Narnia book?"
Because now I either have to have a long conversation with you that you are not interested in having, or I have to give you a book that says on the cover that it's book 2 (even though it is absolutely the first book in the series and reading Magician's Nephew first instead is dumb), or I have to give you the one that says book 1 on the cover and thereby hurt my own spirit. None of these options are good.
