I've been trying to go for a walk everyday while in quarantine, both so that I don't just sit in a chair all day and also to have some proper time to myself. Which is generally beneficial.

Today on my walk, I was bit by a dog. There's a gate from my neighborhood into a park with a walking trail which is where I like to take my walks. The road up to the gate is a bit narrower than a proper street, but still wide enough for two people to walk with at least 6 feet between them. The dog and its owner were near the gate, so I had to pass them. I know they both saw me and I gave them as wide a berth as possible, both for virus reasons and because I generally don't want to interact with people while I'm walking, especially if they have strange dogs. Because sometimes dogs just lunge at you for no reason (if they have bad owners), which is what this one did. I don't know what the woman did after that, because I went through the gate as quickly as possible to get away from the dog and then walked home to change my pants.

Fortunately, I am not hurt - I was wearing very loose pants and the dog's teeth just caught in those. Unfortunately, that pair of pants is now ruined and I was very fond of them.

I am extremely angry about the pants and worried about other people encountering this dog but, on the other hand, something memorable happened to me today.
