Feb. 24th, 2014 10:48 amThe Lovecraft Film Festival is in April this year, which is irritating. It was irritating enough when they moved it to May, because I liked October better, but April is too close to Norwescon. In fact, this year, they happen only a week apart.
I had reconciled myself to this, though, and had decided that I could splurge and just make April my con-going month. And my sister Katie wants to go to Norwescon this year - her first con ever - so I made hotel reservations and everything. (Usually, I mooch off my friends' rooms. I suppose they could mooch off me this year.) And then I figured I'd go ahead and make reservations for the film festival.
But alas! Checking my calendar, that is the same weekend as our choir concert. So all my planning and reconciling is for naught and I will not be taking my yearly trip to Portland to watch horror movies in a room of full of horror nerd. Woe!
At least there's still Norwescon.
