Things:

- So, hey, it's December! I am fond of December - it's the month wherein Yule happens, and there are presents and food and absurd Christmas movies (I hope we have time for The Bishop's Wife this year) and hanging out with family members I don't normally see. So that's cool.

- Also, it has gotten cold. Which I am also pleased about - I find a certain amount of cold rather pleasant (since I am lucky enough to have warm clothes and a place to go that is not cold). I get to wear sweaters and wool socks all the time and use my hot water bottle at night and it's great.

- I think I'm going to be able to go to Yulefest in Poulsbo this year. Because I remembered to check when they were doing it - this weekend. (It's sort kinda a Saint Lucia thing, so I always assume that it's around the 13th - that being her saint's day - but it never actually is and I always miss it.) There will be food at the Sons of Norway hall, and a bonfire, and singing, and Vikings bringing Saint Lucia from over the water. I am really looking forward to it.

- The knitted doll I started the other day is coming along nicely. I've done pretty much everything but the head and it looks pretty good so far. Also, at this point, my headless doll has the unexpected bonus of freaking out my sister, so that's cool. And someday she will be finished and I will knit pretty clothes for her!

- I've been doing some comfort fic rereading lately, which has been lovely. Would you like to tell me about your favorite comfort fic? I'll start - the first one I reread was Twas the Groundhog's Day Before Christmas by poisonivory, which is about Blue Beetle and Booster Gold and never fails to make me smile. Tell me what makes you smile.
