darchildre: Tiny Captain Cold shooting a water pistol (let's go shoot some zombies)
Teenagers at the library are sometimes irritating, because they are often noisy or rude. But there is one great advantage to teenagers at the library that I really don't feel is celebrated enough.

With small children, when they ask a question, I try to be upbeat and supportive (if they look shy). When adults ask a question, I do my best to be cheerful, helpful, and respectful.

When teenagers ask a question, especially if it's a question with an easy answer that they could totally figure out on their own? 90% of the time, it is completely acceptable (and possibly even slightly more respected) to be a sarcastic bastard.

Which is just such a relief, I can't even tell you. Where are the Stephen King novels? They are in fiction. Under King. There is no other demographic I can say that too. It's pretty great.
