Apr. 12th, 2012 01:45 pmForgot to bring my notebook to the training this morning which meant, since I couldn't knit either, that I had nothing to occupy my hands. But I did have a pen. Which is why my left hand is now covered in an intricate pattern of blue dots.
I am seriously not at all good at sitting still. Or, well, sitting still and paying attention. I'm perfectly capable of sitting still if all you want me to do is make up stories in my head. If you actually want me to sit still for long periods of time and retain what you're saying, I need to have something else to do.
And that is why I knit through every panel I attended at Norwescon, as well as several of the conversations with my friends. Though, apparently, I am capable of watching tv without knitting if I'm watching with someone who also wants to talk a lot. (At home, I either watch tv by myself or with my parents, who don't really believe in talking back to the people on the tv.)
At least they're nice blue dots.
