Apr. 9th, 2012 10:07 pmSo hey, I am back from con. In fact, I got back yesterday. However, apparently con tired me out a hell of a lot more than I realized 'cause I was really wiped yesterday evening and mostly stared at my computer, reading fluffy Avengers fanfic.
Beth and I watched a lot of Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes while at con. I mean, we did other things too, but there were also a lot of cartoons. I approve of superhero cartoons and also of watching Avengers-based cartoons with another Steve/Tony shipper. I haven't watched things with another slasher in far too long.
Other things at con = awesome, except for occasional stupid people. But that always happens and they are mostly avoidable and mostly con was great and too short and over way too fast.
Today was very long and I was very tired for most of it, but not actively bad. No irritating people, at least, and I had Doctor Who audios in the car. And choir rehearsal went well. It was our penultimate one for this season, as our concerts are this weekend, and I don't quite feel comfortable with all of the music but I think it will be okay. The only thing I'm really worried about is the second movement of our Lux Aeterna which I kinda hate because it is weird and unpleasant. However, our director reminded us that no one in the audience will know what it's supposed to sound like because even the people who have recordings of this Lux Aeterna will have always skipped that track and I'm pretty sure he's right. So we just have to look confident and pretend that we meant to do whatever it is we did.
So tomorrow is another late day. Wednesday is a relatively short shift but is movie discussion group night and I have missed the last two months, so I feel I have to go. Thursday, I have four hours of training and then work and then dress rehearsal and then sleep. Friday gets to be normal and thank the gods I don't have to work this weekend because I have concerts. And also make cookies to take as intermission refreshments to the concerts.
I think I get to relax again on the 21st.
