Jan. 17th, 2012 06:55 pmOMG, it is so cold in this library.
Apparently, the county has turned off the heat in the building? Or there is some sort of problem with it? So we have the library heaters (though we can't turn on too many of them or it blows the circuits) but it is still frelling cold. I mean, it was 43 degrees when I got here this morning at quarter till 11. It is 7 o'clock now and we've barely hit 60. I am wearing my warmest not-hideous sweater*, elbow-length fingerless gloves, and wool socks and I am freezing. My toes have not been warm all day.
We are supposed to get a good bit of snow tomorrow. I am hoping that is true, if only so that I can wear my actually-warmest sweater and sit by the fireplace all day.
*My warmest sweater is about two sizes too big and made of yarn that looks like carpet padding from the 70's. It is amazing and I love it. Wearing a sweater like that sends a message to the entire world that you are disengaging and not to be bothered. I am wearing a hideous sweater! Leave me alone!
