Things:

- What with votes from my family added, the brown sugar pie won. So it is currently in the oven. Hopefully, it will be delicious.

- So, I bought the new Mountain Goats album and have been listening to it. It is pretty awesome. However, all of the songs are based on/named after Bible verses. So, being the kind of person I am, I looked up all the Bible verses before listening to the songs. And then, today, one of them was in the reading at church. It was very difficult not to immediately start humming. So that's kind of a problem.

- Today is Sara's First Sweater Day of the Season. Which is exciting.

- I finally gave in and started making tentacle gloves. Well, at this point, green fingerless gloves. But eventually they'll have tentacle suckers on the palms. I am a giant dork.

- Tomorrow is the Big Giant Meeting of Everyone Who Works for the Library. It lasts all day and we are forbidden to do yarn work during it. (Apparently, it distracts the speakers. The decree came down from on high a couple of years ago and, as the library mostly employs women and many of them are crafty, there was something of a kerfuffle. I tend to bring a notebook and doodle though honestly, I pay attention better when I crochet than when I doodle.)

- I was pretty sure I had one more thing to mention but now I have forgotten it. Ah, well.

Brown sugar pie is goopy and rich and tastes a little like creme brulee and a little like pecan pie without the pecans and is pretty much completely delicious.
