Sep. 13th, 2009 08:05 amSo, I kinda had Thursday off, due to flex time from Labor Day. And I had most of Friday off, because of the same thing. And it is my regularly scheduled weekend off, so I don't work again till Tuesday and it's kinda like I'm having a mini-vacation.
Also, I keep forgetting what day it is.
Yesterday, Mom and I went to barn sales and vintage gathering sales and weird little junk shops and estate sales and the biggest bead store in the world, OMG, for something like 12 hours. Which was fun. Mom has recently acquired a GPS for her car and let me tell you, it is pretty awesome knowing that you can follow all the little random signs for estates sales that you just happen to see on tiny roads and still not get lost. The estate sale had more Wizard of Oz memorabilia than I ever knew existed. It was pretty amazing, although we did not buy any of it. I bought: a little blue teacup, two old PEZ dispensers (made in Slovenia!*), a spool of weird sparkly yarn that I think I can make socks out of, and little glass skull beads. Because Halloween is coming, friends and neighbors!
Admittedly, in my world, Halloween is always coming.
Also, choir starts up again tomorrow! I am excited. Megan is going to join also, which will be nice, as I will have someone with me on those days when I get to rehearsal stupidly early. Which happens pretty often, honestly.
And now, I have to get ready to go to church.
