So...this morning, I got up, went to take the dog out, and ran smack into the door frame leading into the garage.

Not, perhaps, the most auspicious start to the day.

Today, I am cleaning.

My bookshelf is officially terrifying. Several of the shelves are visibly starting to bow. Fortunately, if they break, the books will be kept from falling by the books on the shelf below, which are stacked as high as they'll go.

The exciting thing about this is that it's not all the books. All the heathenry books, for example, are stacked by my bed, as are all my Nero Wolfe novels. And the giant Complete HP Lovecraft which yes, I really shouldn't have bought but wow, it's so shiny.

Hmm. I suppose I could put the heathenry books by the altar and that would free up the night stand a little.
