darchildreYesterday, I got an email from my section leader with some announcements pertaining to our concert this weekend. One of them essentially said: "Due to the forecasted heat and the fact that our concert space doesn't have air conditioning, here is our proposed change to the concert attire. Women: solid-colored tops in pastels or jewel tones, no black or white, no t-shirts."
And yeah, I'm glad I won't have to wear black velvet for two hours in a hot room, but. Do you know what I own absolutely none of? Yeah. Do you know what I also don't have? Any time to go clothes shopping before Saturday.
Eurgh.
Fortunately, I can raid my mother's closet, as she has more clothes that aren't t-shirts than I do. (I have dressier tops. They are all black or white, because the only color that exists in my wardrobe is in t-shirts.) Mom has a pale blue linen button-down and it better goddamn well be acceptable, because I don't have any other options.
