darchildreWent to the Madison farmer's market. I swear to god, the farmer's market alone might make it worthwhile to take the trip to Wisconsin.
I found the stand from last year that sold the Best Lemon Poppyseed Cake In The World. I may have bought three of them. Also, I bought venison jerky because how many time in your life do you get a chance to eat that? There was a stall selling emu meat and if they had sold something precooked, I would have bought that as well. I am a sucker for new meat products.
Also - and this is why I shouldn't go to farmer's markets when I'm on the edge of hungry - I bought a bunch of radishes. I have eaten a radish once; I think I liked it but I'm not sure. But they were beautiful and somehow extremely appealing and the bunch I bought was only a dollar so if I hate them, I won't feel too bad. And if I like them, that is more vegetables I can eat!
Man, I love farmer's markets. I would have bought honey but I wouldn't be able to bring it home in my carry on.
ETA - Venison jerky = quite tasty and the radishes are good as well. A winner is me!
