The thing about being the kind of person who often roots for the villains is that one often finds one's self torn between that and being on the hero's side. I usually solve this problem by just rooting for the villain all the time, if s/he is interesting enough. With Fringe, I don't normally have the problem because either the villains don't really stick around or they *are* the heroes in a variety of ways.

Thus, tonight was the first time I've really had that feeling of dual alliances. Because on the one hand, go Olivia! And on the other hand, I love clever evil people doing evil clever things and thus am really quite pleased for Mr. Jones. I keep finding myself saying, "Oh, well done!" and then my mom looks at me funny.

It's a bit troublesome.

In Fringe-world, there aren't heroes and villains, really - we just happen to have someone who's sympathetic to Fringe Division as our chronicler. But yes, this looks to be a clever plot for Fringe Division to unravel, assuming they're able to root out all their shapeshifters...
