Have now seen the Sherlock Holmes trailer.
Okay, I am excited in general, as I'm sure is entirely expected, but the thing that is making me most squeeful about this trailer right now tonight is the fact that Moriarty is David Robert Jones.
Look, I loved David Robert Jones. I thought his death was a total waste, I keep sort of hoping that he'll come back and actually do something with the ZFT (which really ought to still be more of the plot because they were explicitly created to combat the parallel universe*), and I am totally stoked about that actor playing Moriarty.
Bwee!
*This is, in fact, one of the few problems I have with Fringe as a story. We face threats and we learn things, and what we learn introduces us to new threats and new things to learn. That's awesome. But once we move on to the new threats, the old ones simply...go away. We were dealing with the ZFT. That led us to the Other Side and, specifically, to the shapeshifters. We were dealing with the shapeshifters and their invasion and then we crossed over to the Other Side and now we are dealing with Walternate and the Machine. Okay. But, y'know, there is no reason whatsoever to assume that the ZFT have just disappeared. Where the hell are they? What are they doing? And the shapeshifters - I know Peter killed a bunch of them (not that we dealt with that little item either, but it was stupid so I'm okay with forgetting it) but that doesn't mean there aren't more and yet, the FBI has still not instituted mandatory random shapeshifter tests. It bugs me.
I realize that the new ball is shiny but that doesn't mean you just drop all the other balls.
