darchildre: sepia toned, several crows on a scarecrow (scarecrow)

Friends and neighbors, I find myself desirous of audio horror. Do you have any you would recommend? Audiobook, radio play, podcast, whatever - anybody?

In return, I offer a few that I'm quite fond of:

First, people reading things. Here is Pickman's Model (Lovecraft) and The Yellow Sign (Chambers) and The Beast With Five Fingers (Harvey). All generally excellent.

Next, radio plays. Sub-Basement (Lights Out) is a cracked-out piece of beautiful nonsense that starts with the traditional "man has lured a woman somewhere in order to kill her" and then takes a sharp and crazy turn into the land of dinosaurs. Lights Out is often a little too cracky for me to be creeped out by, but it's still pretty awesome. And it has a great tag line.

Speaking of crack, how about Perigis Wonderful Dolls (Dimension X)? Everyone likes killer dolls, right?

The Man Who Hated Scenes (Price of Fear) stars both Vincent Price and Peter Cushing. I'm not telling you any more than that - what more could anyone want? Oh, and speaking of Vincent Price, how about Three Skeleton Key (Escape)?

And how about my favorite Old Time radio show, Quiet Please? Here's Inquest and Northern Lights and The Thing on the Fourble Board.

So what do you all recommend?

(It occurs to me that the fact that all the stuff I've recommended is vintage may cause people to think that I only want vintage horror. That's not true - it's just that all the stuff I have is vintage. I am totally open to more modern audio horror.)
