A lady just came into the library on the verge of tears and pulled me out into the hallway to tell me a terribly incoherent story about her terrible living situation and how she'd been kicked out of her house and had driven to Kingston where her daughter lives but her daughter's in the hospital and the lady doesn't have any money or anywhere to go and is almost out of gas. And oh god, I didn't know what to do.
I gave her my pastor's cell phone number and directed her to my church. I hope he can help her.
I don't even know her name.
